Burg Maus - St.Goarshausen
Construction on the castle began in 1353 and lasted more than 30 years. Burg Maus is architecturally one of the finest fortified buildings along the Rhein. By the year 1806, the fortress was half in ruins. Between 1900 and 1906, the castle was carefully restored with impressive attention to historical detail.
Visits to the fortress are only possible on request at the 'Verkehrsamt'.
